Reviews:

Michelle: "My girlfriends and I recently stayed at Grand Cru Estate and we had such a wonderful time. A very big thank you to Roz who could not have done more to make our stay more comfortable. Our stay at Grand Cru was peaceful and relaxing."

Bridget & Anthony:"My (now) husband and I are from Mildura, Victoria, and at the recommendation of a friend we dropped through Grand Cru Estate for lunch one weekend on our way to Adelaide. A quick lunch turned into an afternoon of wine tastings, wood oven pizzas and engaging conversation with the owners, Roz and Pete. 12months and an engagement later, we were scouring the local establishments looking for wedding venues that symbolised and embodied us, as a couple. It was futile. Hesitant to choose a venue so far from home, I contacted Roz for more information and we never looked back. Roz and Amy took all of the stress out of preplanning our wedding; with us not being local to the Barossa area they helped us find everything from the celebrant to the beautiful horses and wagon! Forgotten something? Don’t worry, Roz is a wedding girl-scout – she’s prepared for anything. Our wedding party utilised the picturesque Homestead at Grand Cru for a few days prior to our big day. We arrived on a cold, wet and windy autumn day to find the fires lit and the kitchen stocked. The gloomy weather was almost welcome as we got to make the most of our cozy home curled up on chair or sharing family meals in the magnificent dining booth. Take the opportunity to explore this house, there are hidden treasures in every corner. All of our family members and guests had to travel a great distance to attend our wedding, and were first welcomed to Grand Cru on the Friday night before our wedding day to a mouth watering dinner of lamb shanks and Peter Seppelt wine. The day of our wedding started off fine and sunny, but an hour before the ceremony the wind and rain returned. Never fear, Roz and Amy had Ceremony Plan B activated and the guests were none the wiser! The ambiance and the atmosphere of Grand Cru outshone the doom and gloom outside – the whole thing was 100% stress free. It rained, it poured and it was absolutely perfect.

To Roz, Peter and Amy - a sincere and heartfelt thank you. We shall return for food, wine and a photo catch-up soon! xo"

What is around the corner...

The Woolshed Retreat at Grand Cru Estate: yes this is still coming along, Peter and Roz are planning to get "stuck in" in the near future! (The Homestead, pushed it back a little longer!) This beautiful original stone Woolshed will be a retreat and a treat for all. The Woolshed will eventually accommodate  up to two couples. The outdoor bath on the pond is already a working feature surrounded by new establishing gardens!
